Definition Animation

Animation is a word originating from the uptake of English "to animate", "animated", which means turn or move. Of the some of existing definitions, it can be concluded animation is, a series of images that do not move, the objects or human bodies in various positions of the projected movement in one area (space) into an illusion of motion that gives the impression of living.

In later development, not just animation produced by hand drawing, but could be built on a collection of photography, and even drawn directly through the computer.

Compared with a live movie that has its roots from the world of photography, animation stems from the world of images and illustrations that are related to the film in its technical processes. It could be said animation is a medium that was born from two disciplines, movies and pictures.
