Google Vs Facebook

After a few Google attempts failed in setting up their own versions of social media, Google's recent Google Buzz is now preparing to set up a site or service called Circles that many observers believed the social media site to rival Facebook and Twitter in the realm of social media. This news is exhaled by a site, readwriteweb.com by stating as follows: "We believe That Google will preview a major new social service called Google Circles at South by Southwest Interactive today". It seems Google should be to launch a website of their own social media if you do not want to compete or even in the near left behind by Facebook.

Economic value in the realm of social media is very high, mostly enjoyed by Facebook. It is conceivable now more than 642 million people are regular users of Facebook, 70% of which are outside the United States. The market value of Facebook is also continuously increased to reach 65 billion U.S. dollars. But news of the launch of social media sites Google version is directly contradicted by Google by saying that:

"Google has now denied Officially Circles That will launch here, but not that it exists. See below the final update, as of afternoon Texas time Google does now deny That Circles exists ".

According readwriteweb.com itself an indication of social media sites Google's version is quite strong. If later indication is correct, Google's services to be provided will offer photos, videos and share your status message. All users share the Rings, users will only be shared with the most appropriate circle of social contacts in their lives, meaning that unlike Facebook which share information about its users to all users, Circles will only allow contact with members of the circle corresponding to the user, so most not be more secure than Facebook which claimed often neglect the privacy of its users. Still according to the same site Circles will likely be displayed in an event by the ACLU, an organization that focuses on privacy and freedom. Although not believed to officially launch, but it is clear that the Circles are the major products Google in the realm of social media are expected to compete with Facebook and Twitter.

Circles service has been developed with active participation from Chris Messina, co-creator of social phenomena and successful online software, ranging from BarCamp, Hashtags and more. Messina himself refused to comment on this. In addition there is the name of Jonathan Sposato, CEO picnic photo editing service that Google acquired last year. Sposato is the person who sold two start-ups to Google earlier, one of which Phatbits, a service that was acquired by Google in 2005 which later became Google Gadgets.

Yet again Google denied this and said that no products currently under development. Google told Liz Gannes on the technology blog All Things D That they did not prepare anything. Liz Ganes himself stated that:

"When a report emerged this morning of a new social network focused on sharing nuanced called Google Circles, the company said it was not launching anything this week at SXSW. But Such a product is not even under development, Supposedly According to the people developing it. Google's Chris Messina, WHO had been pegged as one of the leaders of Circles, of toll me directly today That he "did not know what [the story] was talking about."

However, despite continued disputed by Google, at least later if it is really launched, Circles believed to offer something much different than Facebook or Twitter. So far, there is a doubt, especially on Facebook where a service user is in a large bucket that can not limit their privacy despite the fact that it is set as tight and as good as possible. A facebook user profile information can even be seen clearly by any user for privacy advocates that it is not very convenient. The converse to this, Circles is believed to limit the interaction of its users in accordance with their circle and fit it is with life off line users. This means that users Circles will indeed be limited to certain circles and selected according to user's life off line Circles, certainly an improvement compared with the areas of privacy that Facebook continues to get criticism, not half-hearted members of the senate of the United States alone.

Later Circles believed possible to communicate different things to different people in different situations. This means that there are circles of communication that is limited to certain things, such as classmates, coworkers, and family. All this in an existing social media everyone can see the activities of other users directly, but in Circles later this possibility can not be done so that more secure privacy.

Circles sources say that the development of the former possibility is strongly influenced by the social researcher Google technology, namely Paul Adams. Adams has written a book called Social Circles, which will be released this summer and he is a great deal about what is wrong with social networks, particularly the lack of respect and human context. Adams worked in the User Experience Google for four years, but only a few months after publishing a presentation about what is wrong with social networks, he left Google and moved to Facebook.

Circles later, according to people who are believed to develop as social ramahnya with other Google products, but there is greater emphasis to the design and usability. With Messina and Sposato behind him, which no doubt their quality and reliability, Circles are believed to be the next effort from Google to be in combat in social media with Facebook and Twitter. As is known, Google has done much to create a site or social measures in order to compete with Facebook, but still they continue to be behind Facebook. Almost none of Google's attempt to rival Facebook in the realm of social media to reap success. It is certainly curious and motivated to make Google more quickly in the realm.

We can mebuat list, ranging from Google Buzz, Google Wave, and Google's Open Social none could be a potent killer Facebook. In December 2010, which then appear on the site techcrunch.com a screenshot that shows the tool bar at google.com website and called the Loop, but until now not clear where it goes the tool bar. Sources in readwriteweb.com stated that Loop is the same product with Circles.

Worth the wait exactly what Google's site or service that will soon be launched and become a potent weapon for Facebook killer in the realm of social media. If once again failed to produce a service that Google can at least compete with Facebook, of their ability as a king on the Internet is increasingly in doubt. Google may also need to realize that social media is not their rations.

Free Web Hosting

Free web hosting sound so tempting. Like everything else that is free, however, there is often a catch. The catch is often the fact that the web host will put ads in your website that you have no control. This may be the price for the free website.

You cannot blame the host. They have to generate profits somehow. What better way than to promote their ads on your content. Every time someone occurs your site to visit you, they are hit with a barrage of ads. In some free websites, they might have a problem not hitting the ads. The ads can move all around the page causing you or your pals to accidentally click them. After someone has clicked on an advertisement on your free web page, they are able to then be prepared to receive quite a bit of e-mail from not only the website they visited, but additionally every other similar business.

Free website hosting is okay if you want to have a social page, a resume page or perhaps a small website devoted to a celebrity. For business revenue, however, it's not the best choice.

While you might have the most wonderful products available through your website at bargain prices, you can only sell them if people go to your website. When using free website hosting you're limited. In most cases, you can have one account and can't post links between accounts. Most free web hosting is perfect for personal purposes only and rarely allows business selling.

If you wish to make money on the internet, the way to do it is to use a dedicated server. By doing this, you can't only place any ads that you want in your site which will generate income for you as you arethe website host, but you may also make use of the extra space to make up other websites that canto draw people to profits website. The content containing keywords shows up on thesearch engines the ones are directed to your small, content site. Here, they read some good info and get a link to your money making site.

Free website hosting will work for those who only want to use the internet sparingly, although not for the purpose of making money. Even a shared server, the industry step-up from a free server, and it isbasically the same task only provides you with more space and bandwidth as well as freedom, is limited. To truly earn money on the internet, you have to make utilization of all aspects, including the

Advertising on the web can be free if you learn how to use the search engines like google to generatecuriosity about your products as well as make use of a dedicated server to its maximum abilities. While a free web hosting service is a fine idea for any personal website that can help you retain your loved ones updated about your lifetime, it's not the way to make money on the internet. use keywords ads and affiliate links.

Internet Networking History

Internet networking system was created in the 60s and 70s range, which commenced a lot of research on packet-switching, collision-detection on the local do networking, hierarchical network and other communication techniques. Better developed the networking, but this ended in more and more differences and create a networking system should get up on its own can not be connected between different tissue types. So to combine the networks of different groups cannot happen. Happens a huge difference through the interface, applications and protocols.

The specific situation began at the precise dissimilarities in the 70's by a group of American researchers from the Defence Advanced Scientific Study Agency (DARPA). They studied the inter-networking, except that there are other organizations who also joined as ITU-T (by name CCITT) and ISO. The purpose of this study was to make a protocol, so that different applications can run even on different systems.

Group official who examined the research networking system called the ARPANET group, which has conducted meetings in October 1971. Then melanjukan DARPA research on host-to-host protocol using TCP / IP, circa 1978. Implementation of the Internet starting in 1980, how the ARPANET using TCP / IP. In 1983, DARPA decided to have all computers connected to the ARPANET using TCP / IP. DARPA contacted Bolt, Beranek, and Newman (BBN) to build a TCP / IP for UNIX at Berkeley University of California at Berkeley, to distribute source code along with the computer of the Berkeley Software Development (BSD), in 1983 (4.2BSD). From then about , the TCP / IP became famous through the university and research agency and a standard protocol for communication.

HISTORY OF COMPUTER NETWORKS

The concept of computer network born in the 1940s in America of a development project in the laboratory computer MODEL I Bell and Harvard University research group led by professor H. Aiken. At first the project was to utilize a computer device that must be used together. To do some of the process without much waste of time was made vacant succession process (batch processing), so some programs can run on a computer with the rules of the queue.

Ditahun 1950s when the types of computers began to swell up to the creation of a super computer, a computer must serve several terminals (see Figure 1) For that discovered the concept of distribution of time-based process known as TSS (Time Sharing System), for the first time form network (network) computer application. In the TSS system several terminals connected in series to a host computer. In the process of TSS began to seem a mix of computer technology and telecommunication technology that was originally developed on their own.

Computer network model of TSS

Entering the 1970s, after much work load increased and the price of computers began to seem very expensive, then start to use the concept of the distribution process (Distributed Processing). As in Figure 2, in this process some of the host computer to do a great job in parallel to serve several terminals are connected in series in each host computer. Dala distribution process is absolutely necessary in-depth blend of computer and telecommunications technology, because in addition to the process that must be distributed, all must serve the host computer terminals in a single command from the central computer.

Computer networks distributed processing model

Furthermore, when the small computer prices have started to decline and the concept of the distribution process has matured, then the use of computers and networks have started a variety of start dealing with the process and communication between computers (Peer to Peer System) alone without going through a central computer. For that began developing the local network technology known as the LAN. Similarly, when the Internet was introduced, the majority of stand-alone LAN began an association and forming a giant network WAN.

The benefits of Computer Networking

Computer networks can be used for various purposes:

To facilitate of communication.
By using the network, people can communicate efficiently and easily via email, instant messaging, chat rooms, telephone, video telephone, and video conferencing.

Share hardware.
In a network environment, every computer on the network can access and use the hardware resources on a network, such as printing documents on shared network printer.

Sharing files, data, and information.
In a network environment, authorized users can access data and information stored on other computers on the network. Capability to provide access to data and information on shared storage devices is an important the features of many networks.

Sharing of software. Users connect to the network can run application programs on a remote computer.

Network Topology

Computer networks can be classified in accordance with the network topology, such as a bus network, star network, ring networks, mesh networks. Network Topology is the coordination with which the device in the network organized into their logical relationship with one another, physically independent

Even if computer networks are physically located in a linear the composition of and connected to a hub, the network consists of a star topology and bus topology. In This is the visual and operational characteristics of the different networks. The network can be classified based on the method of data used to delivered data, this includes digital and analog networks.

Local Area Network (LAN)

Local area network (LAN) is a network that connects computers and devices in a limited geographical area such as homes, schools, computer labs, office buildings, or closely positioned group of buildings. Every computer or device on the network vertices are nodes. LAN cable is great based on Ethernet technology, although new standards such as ITU-T G.hn also provides a way to make a wired LAN using the existing home cable (coaxial cable, telephone lines and electricity cables).

All devices that are interconnected must understand the network layer (layer 3), because they handle several subnets (different colors). They are in the library, which is only 10/100 Mbit / s Ethernet connection to the device user and Gigabit Ethernet connections to a central router, could be called "layer 3 switches" because they only have Ethernet interfaces and must understand IP. It would be more appropriate to call them access routers, where the router at the top is the distribution router that connects to the Internet and academic networks' customer access routers.

Defining characteristics of LANs, in contrast to WANs (Wide Area Network), include a higher level of data transfer, smaller geographic range, and do not need to lease telecommunication network. Now Ethernet or other IEEE 802.3 LAN technologies operate at speeds up to 10 Gbit / s. This is the speed of data transfer. IEEE has projects investigating the standardization of 40 and 100 Gb / s.
